Bottom line....Its always the streets that have the final say so...Not blogs and messageboards.

‘Drake’s momentum in the streets’
Street nikkaz think he’s a soft cornball and let him live because bishes love his shyt and happy hoez in the club is mo puzzy for them.

‘Azealia Banks is my favorite rapper from this decade.’
You are the only person to ever type those words

But yes Ye, the streets AND the girls ultimately decide

bro u right and wrong at the same time... it's a big planet... MF DOOM and Madlib arent "Street" artist. Their target aint the streets... so its not a "final" say type of thing.
i dont think that applies there. They are more for underground rap...Madlib commands 50 to 100k a show. He didnt need the streets to that. Fabolous plays in the streets all summer but he cant tour globally like MF Doom.

It's just different sections of Hip Hop.

Azealia never wanted to be an urban artist, so she got what she wanted at the end of the day.

yes..Madlib and MF Doom are "underground" but I was only using them as an example of whats popping on messageboards/blogs compared to whats actually popping in the streets.

but the popular acts have 100+ pages so how is this board not a reflection of what u describe as "real life"? :patrice:

to be honest.. theres no such thing as "true buzz" anymore..

every person who supposedly had "true buzz", where in line with all the blogs/messageboards.. them days of putting out a mixtape, are far gone..

well, yeah, it'smore of a mix now with streets + blog/messageboards/youtube but I still would put the streets as the biggest factor in the mix

they not a very good example tho, thats my point. they are knowingly message board and underground rappers.

I think a better example is Westside Gunn, Roc Marciano or some shyt like that. Because they are street artist who the streets dont listen too.
I just was in the King Of New York thread arguing with someone who couldnt understand why Benny isnt hotter than A Boogie.

In Doom's case I dont think anybody with common sense would feel like he should be "hot in the streets". U see what im saying. Like ofcourse he isnt cause thats not what hes even going for.

I don't get what your saying, if thats not what ur saying.

Like whats ur point...

Basically u saying u agree but that Madlib and MF Doom aren't the best examples and Westside Gunn and Roc Marciano are better examples.

Fine then...add Westside Gunn and Roc Marciano to the examples. :ehh:
