I've been in the Army for 13 going on 14 years how long have you been in?

Go Navy or Air Force if you can since coast guard is not an option, always go with the safest options first before you attempt army or marines especially if your just trying to just do your time and bounce.I did 6 years in the coast guard by the way

Im going to say this......DO NOT DO MILITARY POLICE!!!!

Its NOTHING like a real cop. You dont chase bad guys or nothing like that. You sit. Mabe sit for 12 hrs watching a plane or at the gate or something. You work 14 Hour days most of the time its a panama schedule.

Also as soon as you reach the operation force, go to school breh and try to become a officer. Theres no reason you should do 20 years making enlisted money when you could be banking as a officer.

Those are pretty good ASVAB scores, so you should be a pretty smart guy. Only do Air Force or Navy. If you do not listen to me, you will regret it lol. Them Army dudes were always salty because us AF dudes are chillin while they have to do PT every morning and can get their rank pulled off on the spot for some simple shyt.

Only commit to the bare minimum amount of years they offer (usually 4, but they used to do 2 year commitments like 6-7 years ago when I enlisted). If you like it, then reenlist. But its the better idea to do 4 years so you can be eligible to change bases (or jobs) sooner.

If you really want to be a cop, then by all means... However, I would highly suggest looking in to something that would translate into experience in a good field when you get out. What do you want to be? What jobs interest you in the civilian/corporate world?

Also, if you want to travel, the Navy is always on the move. They stay going to exotic locations. And they have the best bases. Buuuut you're going to spend a lot of time out at sea.

Idk what gets me into police work in civilian faster. I'm guessing intelligence analyst?

Edit: MP is basically a gate guard.... Or traffic cop, or prison guard. 78 isn't a low asvab, especially for Army. Try to get intel type job, Army-equivalent for fire fighter, or something else.

Fire fighter is one of my last resort jobs once I get out, but it's a good ass job. It's can be tough ofcourse, so no one is going to think you're p*ssy, but it's respectable and you not gonna end up getting shot at/blown up or having to kill a nikka/village/ or whatever to get props.

I'm Navy, so fire fighting is different for us.. Mostly dealing with fires aboard ships. Most fire fighters on our base are civilian but you can tell they're former military. Most of them just work out all day unless shyts going on. I dont know how Army does it.

I haven't seen active duty fire fighters in so long...the air force actually uses there.for.the.flight lines...but the Army seems like it's too busy setting fires to put.them out...I only.see.civilians..

The Army has many Mos that never have any openings or you have to be Senior to get....everyone who can.is.jumping.on.the.cyber warfare and contracting right now

fire fighter is only in the Reserves for Army.... like @NatiboyB said, go Cyber...they are getting ready to move from Meade to Gordon and still need about 2k enlisted/officer bodies along w/ civilians....mucho opportunity in that MOS...you get lucky, they'll teach you how to be a hacker

I came in at a different time but I had a record and was to front with them...this is also my 3rd job...I was a grunt when I first came in the Army from the af...I made.SSG in like 3 years and changed jobs.quick.
