Did asvab and got 77 or 78. Went through meps already. Coast guard doesn't do waivers so trying army now (shellfish allergy) what should I know bruhs?
Was looking into military police.

I don't understand this logic. The military is one of the few ways a young black man with few options can:
-find a prestigious, decent paying job that treats you fairly. You don't get deployed because you're black. You don't miss promotions because you're black. Dudes get in serious trouble for discrimination or race related abuse.
-pay for college or trade school
-accumulate great work experience for resumes
I certainly did not feel like anyone's slave anymore then all the races of people I worked with. Even Colonels are someone's bytch.
You just gotta use the military to get where you need to be. And be smart about what jobs you're signing up for.
I always feel like i could have been much further in my career if i skipped the military. I feel like i wasted those years. Some people need military. I didn'tWhat was do bad about it to you? I've been in the AF Disaster Prep and in the Army Cav Scout, Supply, Intel...
I got multiple deployments as well.
no black man should join the militaryThere are a lot. I can't lie. The VA disability compensation is a whole other story. But that's why I scream go everyone that listens to not do Army/Marines or any "dangerous" jobs unless you're really bout that life. How many VAs are homeless and without their benefits today?
Unless you literally lose a limb or have mental issues as a result, why should they be embarrassed?@Mook don't do it. The potential to go to war and lose your life and limbs is not worth the money or benefits. So many homeless people are military vets. The military should be embarrassed that so many people who have served are on the bottom now.

Because if you serve this country they should have way better programs to prevent this from happening. If a big portion of homeless people were in the military than what does it say about how u get treated when you are out?Unless you literally lose a limb or have mental issues as a result, why should they be embarrassed?
Idk man, from my time serving, for the most part it just felt like a job that I volunteered for. I'm not out here looking for handouts. I looked at what was offered, weighed the pros and cons, then went and did my one term.
It's the people that end becoming dependent on the military that become so vulnerable.
Too mooks story or to what I said? It's alot more to this story that people aren't realizing.
