A young Mayweather sparred Pernell Whitaker but I've heard stories that Floyd got the better of sweet pea and vice verse.

sweet pea was the type to not go all out in sparring...floyd and zab def sparred him early in their careers...if they got the best of him its most likely sweet pea was in 1st gear just using the young cats to get work in..not go in and destroy him

floyd has so many real old school stories he can tell about boxing...someone needs to get that out of him instead of the money shyt ppl are fascinated by

A head injury and a permanently chipped demeanour and attitude.

Part of Valero's talent was due to his rage at injustice. Injustice in Venezuela / World, injustice at being knocked back by the athletic commissions.

He trained like a maniac, sparred like a bloodthirsty maniac, and fought like a man possessed, pure, controlled rage.

Doing it with real punches flying and the cameras on though is a whole different thing.

sparring is suppose to get all that shyt out..even mr. 50-0 himself has gotten worked in sparring before...no boxer is immaculate 24/7/365 lol

floyd definitely got da best of him based on floyds reaction when he was asked about it... but whether he was trying or not, sparring isn't a real fight and for da most part, means nothing imo lol
