Got it day one and played maybe 2 hours after the prologue. shyt just put me to sleep. Threw it in the bushes after I did a mission north of Valentine where you have to run up on a shack of that other gang. First I had to ride with these bums all the way from the camp then I get there and in the shootout they tell me where I can and can't take cover. I tried to slide up on the goons from a better angle and then I failed the mission :dahell:

Ya'll can keep this bullshyt :hhh:
Mission design like that is inexcusable in 2019. This is why I love Arkane and what they've done with immersive sims, and why I hope the commercially lukewarm reception Dishonored 2 and Prey (my GOTG, thus far) received doesn't spell the end of future releases from their outfit. Even Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, with its incomplete state, gave us gameplay that was orders of magnitude better than what Rockstar shoved into their tech demo. The stellar reviews RDR2 was rewarded with has the gaming media looking very funny in the light.:francis:

I just picked this back up again on Thursday. I'm going to try to keep playing through up until April or May. I don't want to play this coming into summer.

I'm glad I checked You Tube for in game mechanic adjustments. At least the gameplay doesn't feel as sluggish, I still don't like the aiming when shooting enemies. Another thing Idc for is the long ass chapters, not even RDR 1 chapters were as long.

I have PS4 but I used XB1 adjustments for gameplay:

Lipstick on a pig is doesn't mean it's no longer a pig. shyt was beautiful :trash:

Cumbersome controls that were borderline unplayable and outdated mission design that would be more at home in a title released on the PS2, much less the PS3, is why the game petered out. It was a glorified tech demo packaged with horrifically poor mechanics. People who say they enjoyed this game are whores for nice graphics. I love pretty visuals like the next guy, but I expect much more to come with them. :francis:
This js what I'm saying

Also what the fukk was Chapter 5?
You wash up on an island just to do a few shootouts and leave? Why? That wasn't needed at all. What a waste of that location. It literally serves no purpose. Felt like one of the teams at R* fukked around and made that island on their spare time and they wound up shoehorning into the story.

Also chapter 6
The exact same mission how many times? You know the one, it goes a little something like this
Dutch has a plan
Arthur thinks it's a bad idea but still goes along anyway
Ride horses to location marker
Things go haywire
Giant shootout with hordes of braindead enemies.
Rinse and repeat like 10x over in chapter 6

The shooting felt awful and the cover system, I can't believe a cover system that bad made into a AAA game and no reveiws mentioned it. You spend half the game shooting and taking cover and nobody mentions how terrible it feels

The online fukked it up for a lot of people
I really don't care what anyone else says, GTA Online has been one of the biggest disappointments for me. I was afraid that infectious bullshyt was gonna end up messin' with the Red Dead franchise.......and it did. The first RDR had a simplistic approach to online and it made for enjoyable times. Labeling it "Online" just made it felt like an entirely different iteration, and not in a good way. I can't believe they fukked up another one. Phenomenal story though, it's still winning GOTY.

Honest to god, I haven't booted up this game since early December....and god knows what the size of the update will be if I ever do play it again.

I might buy it again on sale during fall season. I just ain't want to waste my time with it due to the super long drawn out chapters.
