The bolded is not true. Right now, Georgetown University may have a lawsuit on their hands b/c the university was on the brink of closure and sold slaves to get cash flow. The lawsuit would state that a multi million dollar university owes the decedents of slaves reparations b/c it was through the sale of their people that Georgetown is still in business today. If those black folks win the lawsuit against Georgetown, that makes our case for reparations even stronger.

Furthermore, the USA doesn't mind giving anyone reparations. The Jewish community has gotten a reparations package from America & Germany (& possibly another country). OAN, that's why its irresponsible for Jay Z to quote the Jewish community as example of entrepreneurship without noting the millions of dollars that funded their success. But I guarantee Jay will never tell that story. I digress.

Rather than the back and forth, I think we should do a book club. Let's read "When Affirmative Action Was White" and discuss. I haven't read the book either, but I'm hoping that your tune will change (concerning reparations) after this read.

Honestly, the only reason Boyce appears to support black women is because he's been accused of misogyny many times. Boyce shares a lot of the same views people like Tariq and Umar get criticized for, but as someone who's been following Boyce on YT for a long time, I know he's much more sensitive to criticism than those guys are. Not that long ago, Boyce put up that status on Facebook about buying stock instead of buying weave, and his comments on Facebook were a war zone. He was so hurt by the negativity that he got on camera crying. Like bruh, you knew exactly what you were doing and the response you would get from that.

Misogyny is a misused and overused word, IMO. I remember the weave fallout and I was in total agreement with Boyce/Zaza regarding this incident. Both black men & women have a problem with accountability but there's only backlash when women are called out on the BS.

And I would agree that Boyce is sensitive to criticism.

My great grandma was a slave. She only died last year. There's still a few survivors from Black Wall Street. I'm not understanding how it's different.

The law was passed to end slavery but the practice was not exactly over b/c black people didn't get their mule & 400 acres. My great grandma was born approximately in the early 1900s and she still picked cotton.
