Brad Stevens for Coach of the Year: The Official 2015-16 Boston Celtics Season Thread

The NBA season is here.

Despite the relative lack of talent and the significant amount of roster changes, we made the playoffs last year as the 7th seed (mainly because of Stevens' GENIUS coaching). In my opinion, Stevens was ROBBED of the Coach of the Year award last year.

For this season, we've added champion David Lee, Amir Johnson, and Perry Jones through free agency, re-signed Jonas Jerebko, and drafted Terry Rozier, RJ Hunter, Jordan Mickey, and Marcus Thornton.

Great uncertainty surrounds the futures of Jared Sullinger, Tyler Zeller, Evan Turner, and Kelly Olynk.

Hopefully we can build on last season's success and playoff experience and get a winning record. Let's also hope we can make a trade or two for some all-star caliber talent so that we can become contenders in the near future. Let's also hope Brad Stevens has a great season and mounts a successful campaign for Coach of the Year.

Let me be clear, I'm from Providence and dislike the city of Boston very much. I'm also Italian and generally dislike Irish people... Having said that I'm like a futbol fan when it comes to the Celtics...

It's a beautiful sight watching him develop into the best young coach in the NBA. He really is a special prospect. Ainge has a gem of a coach.

What do we do with Zeller? He's had his moments but I'm guessing he can be replaced....

He's serviceable but he's obviously a 15-20 minute back up on a championship team... He doesn't really fit

I like that trio. I'm particularly excited about Rozier. He did well in the summer league and I believe he'll be an all-star in his career.

I was against drafting these guys at first. But when summer league rolls, all of the draft picks outside Thorton were impressive.

RJ Hunter - Sharpshooter with a high BB IQ
Terry Rozier - A feisty point guard with a knack for scoring and tenacious defense
Jordan Mickey - Brandon Bass with shot blocking ability.
