The problem has more to do with poverty than anything else. A disproportionate amount of blacks are impoverished therefore a disproportionate amount of black people have poverty problems. Things like crime, unwed mothers, abortion, etc are always more prevelant in poor people. If we look at the numbers along with poverty rates, it is actually white people who struggle with these issues more. Seeing that so many less of them live in/come from poverty, these problems should be less of an issue for them but they are not.

Not to derail, I know we're talking about abortion, but this is that bullshyt that I can't rock with. Poverty is not the reason that we have high crime rates, abortions, etc. It's this infactuation with thug/gangsta lifestyle, as a whole, that we perpetuate that has us ALL fukked up.

I know a bunch of people that I went to high school with that lived in the projects or section 8 housing that broke that poverty cycle by getting an education. I also know a bunch of people from high school that I knew wasn't gonna be shyt cause they were about that life. Sadly, a lot of people that are "about that life", are that way by choice, not necessity. Just cause you live in the hood don't mean you have to live a destructive life. As a matter of fact, most people that live in the hood don't live a destructive life. Don't believe the hype!!

Bu..bu..but, white people get college paid for by their parents. I don't believe that shyt either. Most cacs do what they have to do to "get that bread", (take out loans and get grants/scholarships), and that's one reason as a whole they are better off than us. Imo

i agree with you

im usually for less government, let people make their decisions. but aborting a baby as late as 6 months as a form of birth control is the main reason im against it. especially if its not being used for stem cells. you can abort the baby but we cant use it to save other people

Doesn't matter who you went to school with or what those people did. It's a known fact that these problems are more prevalent in poor neighborhoods. Has nothing to do with a gangster lifestyle. I didn't say a person can't make it out the hood or a person not from the hood can't fukk up. I simply said the problems are more prevalent with the poor, which is true all around the world.

As for parents paying for college it is a big advantage. If a parent is paying off their own school loans they can't pay for their kids college so the kid has to take out loans and they start their adult life in debt, the cycle of debt continues for generations, instead of buying homes and building wealth, our college graduates are spending the rest of their lives paying for college. Those who don't take out loans to pay for their education are at a clear advantage.
