as long as u got the bread, u can break the lease. what's the problem?

also, why the fukk do they need to know the reason as long as they get paid?

I need to find out how much of the remaining rent I would be responsible for, 6 months worth right now is $5,400 for what's left on the lease.

Going into a situation where I would like buy (or rent) a new place I would like to use them as referral, a lease break might be a problem with that.

I broke a lease to move back up to NY cuz I was potentially facing some shyt I didn’t wanna face…I gave the leasing agent 2 days notice…made up some bullshyt about getting fired (I was self-employed at the time)…she didn’t put up a fuss at all surprisingly even tho it was stated in the lease you couldn’t “break” it but what made me leaving appeal to her was the place was pretty clean…I had already paid the rent for the month and there was about 3 weeks left which would be more than enough time for maintenance to make it so someone could move in by the start of the next month and I didn’t ask for the deposit (one month’s rent)…so it was really hard for her to complain…regardless I was dead set on leaving but she didn’t follow it up legally…it worked out for both parties…this was several years ago…I don’t think the timeframe matters tho

Man break that shyt.
You gon pay it eventually but you aint gotta pay it right away. All they gon do is hound you about it for a min then send it to collections and a collections person gon call you and give you an option to pay it off on a payment plan.
Ask me how I know.
Never be scared to break a lease, go get the life you want and don't let some funky ass complex stop you

I had to pay around 6k to break a lease recently. That shyt hurt my soul. I suggest nikkas make fake documents and get out of that shyt.

aint no way. landlords have a duty to mitigate the loss meaning they have to rent out the place asap. your payment should stop as soon as they rent out the place, shouldn't have to pay out the whole rest of the lease unless nobody rents the place (or unless your rent was just that high which i doubt you are that frivolous). i would follow up with them if i was you

why do u need a landlord for a referral? everytime I've bought property, I get prequalified for a mortgage, get a realtor and then start going house hunting.

Rent was about $2700 and it had two months rent early termination fee. Usually I’m gonna try and find a way out that shyt but it was a unique situation and I just paid it.

Never bought property, not sure how all that works. I assumed they would want to know your payment history on prior residence. Again, buying property would be new to me, so I could be way off on this.

lenders don't need referrals since they aren't letting u live in their property.

they look at your credit, income and debt. put all that shyt in a computer, and either pre-approve you for a mortgage or deny you. that referral shyt means nothing to a bank.
