Well I had the 9th pick and right away everyone in the league started picking off WRs left and right.
1. Antonio Brown
2. Julio Jones
3. Odell Beckham Jr
4. David Johnson
5. Todd Gurley
6. DeAndre Hopkins
7. Lamar Miller
8. Ezekiel Elliot
I had intended to go WR-WR with my first two picks (we did a snake draft) but when I saw all those WR's go off...I mean shyt...the Top 4 dudes gone already...I was like, fukk it....I can get some solid WRs later in the draft. Let me grab some RBs. So I did RB-RB...then went WR-WR with my 3rd and 4th round picks.
It was a bit tough though, because when I came up to pick in the 1st, I thought about taking Adrian Peterson and Dez Bryant...and who knows, maybe I should have done that instead. But my thinking was....I knew I could still get a good WR at #29 and #32. But I wasn't sure I would be able to get a good RB at that point.
And I was kinda right.
When I took Jordy Nelson late in the 3rd round and Amari Cooper early in the 4th...the only real running backs left were CJ Anderson, Carlos Hyde, Thomas Rawls, and Latavius Murray....pretty weak. So I'm glad I grabbed Bell and Pederson early.
I was able to get Arian Foster in the 7th round (maybe a reach), and I picked up Spencer Ware and Charles Sims in the 13th and 14th rounds -- but I think maybe the guys in the league weren't aware that Spencer is starting for now. Some dude took Jamaal Charles in the 3rd round. Charles is hurt and might not hold on to his job all season.
Besides, I really just need Spencer or Foster to hold it down for 3 weeks until Bell returns from suspension
