Society needs to do some soul searching and ask why people are so unhappy

it’s a combination of things

mental illness but also sociological affects

my therapist and i were just talking about suicide. i asked if she thinks that it has anything to do with societal influence and cultural expections

she pretty much said yes and there is an area of study that cross researches sociology and psychology

basically she said that men in their younger years are more likely to commit suicide than women. wonen are more likely to kill them selves later in life. the main reason is society expectations and our roles in society

men are more expected to have their shyt together at a younger age. women, not so much. it’s more socially acceptable for a women to live with her parents until she becomes married or engaged. where as men, not so much and there’s more pressure

but when women because older, many suffer with the affects of getting older, once there children move out, grow older etc women have a hard time figuring out what their purpose is in older age, they experience a loss of sense because their role as a mother in terms of being a caretaker is kinds of taken away from them with their children growing older and they lose purpose.

it makes a lot of sense

This. People would have killed to do his job for one day/week. On the surface, you look at him and you're like, "He travels the world. Eats great food. Experiences so many different cultures. He's truly living his best life and is living a full life." You struggle to understand what/where things had gone so south to where doing two of the top 4-6 things that seem to make EVERYBODY happy (especially in this Instagram culture) every day no longer make him happy. His job was to live out the dreams of a lot of people, when you really think about it, and it wasn't enough.

Like, he's "supposed" to be happy with his life. He's "supposed" to have no complaints. And he wasn't. Instead he lost a battle that nobody knew, nor had reason to suspect he was fighting.

Sobering shyt to think about. There's more to life than experiences, and I don't know if the current society understands that yet. :francis:

i think a lot people on the outside especially people within a lower class bracket find it hard to grasp or understand how one who is successful and doing a job they love can be so unhappy. its really the affects of capitalism if you think about it in terms of how people within a lower wealth bracket view the lives and people within a higher one.

when someone rich kills them selves, for the middle class and the poor who wish to be in that wealth bracket and class it kinda shakes up their world view and interferes with their outlook and praise on the rich and what we’ve been taught and shown in regards to wealth. hence why a lot of people bring up their wealth and success when they question why someone like him, kate spade etc would kill them selves

it’s like a glitch within the capitalist system that

:mjlol: i wanted to tell you go fuk yourself but i can’t even say sh!t cuz the bottomline is, whether I’m a Bourdain fan or not, nothing you just typed is a lie.. you’re speaking facts :wow:
I liked him too. This has nothing to do with him as a person and everything to do with these c00n ass, fake muthafukkas in here tripping over themselves to suck dikk. You literally got nikkas in here saying "zomgzorz life is a joke, sUcH abBeAuTiFuL pErSon this ruined my next 6 months iLoVeHiM"
shyts disgusting when you see exactly where these folks compassion and moral fiber lie and how a cac chef gets more consideration cause he hung out with slim thug than Maya Angelou who was fighting for these fakkits rights.

Either these nikkas didn't post at all when she passed or gave a half hearted "rip:yeshrug:" while they writing dissertations of "Ode to Anthony" in here. :snoop:

That's why I mentioned it.
