I remember reading his book, and having my mind blown, i remember him talking about his ups and downs, kitchen confidential, was a damn good book. i remember watching all his shows, he literally made me want to travel more, and not just your typical places, but off the beaten path.

He seemed to have so much going for him, i never get too caught up when a celebrity dies, it’s like it’s sad, but Life for me will go on, this definitely made me pause for a second

I'm only half surprised. Whenever I watch his shows I always get a depressing vibe from him. Like somethings 'off'. I'm not a psychiatrist though.

Suicide at 61 is unusual though. It's usually young adults and teens who do that.
Elderly suicide is a serious issue it doesn't get as much hype because they've lived meanwhile teens and young adults offing themselves before they've even lived seems like a huge issue.

My mom loves his show, she watches it religiously.
i've seen every episode. something changed in his demeanor several seasons back. mentioned it to my brother a few weeks ago while watching an older episode how much happier he looked. the content of his shows also got very dark. he last one in rome was very demonic.
