It's cool. You don't understand the obsession of suicide and how it can compulse you to act on it but I don't understand how people can attack that person because of your own misunderstanding. A lot of this is due to the pressures of capitalist ideals and expectatioms that have been conditioned into you since birth that's why you might not see it reported in 3rd world countries as much. It just wore him down likely over decades im talking 30 years possibly.
yeah I agree with you on the cause, just saying its still some privileged shyt. someone thats poor even in a capitalist society cant even think to kill themselves, this is from him basically being able to do whatever he wants and being bored. im not attacking except that i do think its selfish he left a kid behind thats not an adult

im not trying to be a dikk but this is privileged shyt, you got starving kids that dont kill themself. this dude had the best job you could possibly have, idgaf this shyt is wack and he had a kid that was under 18 just like that purse making bytch. yeah i get people liked this guy more than kate spade so hes getting more remorse. im not saying fukk him but ill never understand it. and he wasnt even one of these crazy famous people that couldnt move through life. he had literally the perfect situation.

Somebody who's sane shouldn't understand the mind frame that's why it's called a mental illness...

Depression is more than "I feel sad", it's a disease that causes physical changes in you and doesn't go away. We still only have really a basic understanding of what the alterations in mental make-up do to you psychologically. The man fought a long time and went through some dark shyt, just because you leave that alley and the needle behind doesn't mean it ever leaves you. You can be anybody anywhere at any time and have this issue, it's not an America or western cultural thing, just like schizophrenia has a fairly consistent 1% affliction rate globally, so does clinical depression. The man fought a battle against himself and in the end he couldn't fight anymore.

Tell your loved ones that they mean something to you, reach out, don't let people in your life feel alone.

BTW I think dude is a bit of an a$$hole for committing suicide. At least when his daughter is 10 years old.

If you're a father, how can you imagine and not care that if you commit suicide, your 10 year old daughter will have to be woken up and told daddy killed himself. Why would you do that to your own kid?

It's a selfish ass thing to do as a parent.
fully agreed. anyone killing themselves with young kids aint shyt. I said this about kate spade on my facebook and my white coworkers started getting upset. If you're suicidal, please dont procreate or at least have the decency to wait until your kids are older and out the house.

What's wrong with wealthy white people killing themselves... :hubie:..wonder if they ask the same thing when Cops kill us :mjpls:

I have no clue why a weatlhy cauasian would want to kill themselves. It's not whether I care or not. It's just bewildering. I'm a brotha trying to make it already know I'm taking a hit cuz of what I look like. Trying to make it in a world not made for me. Constantly peppered with stereotypes, experiencing institutional racism on a daily basis, and yet, I don't want to end it. Adversity and being disadvantaged is what I know.

So for a caucasian to not deal with any of that makes me think they really had some serious demons. There will be a discussion because that's how the world works.

Too many people think suicide is about condition of life. It's about condition of mind. Suicidal thoughts are malfunctions of the brain. People generally have 2 overarching motivations in life...to procreate and to survive. Suicide goes against that.

While I'm truly perplexed that he did himself in because to me it seemed like he had a great life...I've been around enough mentally ill people in my life, myself included to know that their perception of the world is off. You have someone who is seeing the world differently from the majority and that's a dangerous thing.

It's not a physical problem, it's a chemical/biological issue.

I say all that not to give an excuse for people but as an affirmation that people need to change their thought process on the matter for it to be fixed.

PEOPLE WITH MENTAL AFFLICTIONS: ITS OKAY TO TALK AND SHARE ABOUT IT
PEOPLE WITHOUT MENTAL AFFLICTIONS: ITS OKAY FOR PEOPLE TO HAVE IT, AND TO TALK ABOUT IT WITH YOU

Don't forget we have a segment of society that says you're a snowflake if you get upset about anything, and masters the art of passive aggression. Yet, their own people are the ones killing themselves at the highest rates.

So you'd leave your kids in this wicked world by themselves because death is inevitable?

Yikes
I don't think some of yall really get how depression works. You keep using logic and reason as a sane mentally healthy person. "no matter how bad things get, why would I do that to my wife, kids. I could never do that to them, etc." These are thoughts you have when you are sane and logical. When you are in DEEP depression, like to the point of suicide, those thoughts are not there. They are gone. It's not cause you don't care about your family or kids, it's because the pain is so great those thoughts don't even come into play anymore for the person going thru the depression. How much money you got in your account or white privilige or whatever don't matter anymore at that point. It is literally an illness that can consume your entire mental being. I would just say to pray you never end up in a dark place like that.

He got wind that Asia Argento was fooling around, and saw photos of Asia with the younger man. She fessed up to him in a phone call - later posting "F everyone" because she was outed by the paparazzi.

...”The piece focused on Bourdain’s “no white people” policy for the Houston episode of ‘Parts Unknown’...”

“Yesterday, PaperCity published a piece by writer Chris Baldwin that made note of a February profile in the New Yorker in which Bourdain said that he had “banned white people” from the Houston episode of CNN’s Parts Unknown.”

“...none of the city’s celebrity chefs even sniffed a bit of air time. It turns out most of them never had a chance to get on. Foodie power players such as Chris Shepherd, Bryan Caswell and Ronnie Killen were out from the moment Bourdain issued his “no white people” command.”

what alot of people dont know about Bourdain, is when the hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana.. he took his entire staff(mainly Black folks), and their families to NY with him to reopen so they wouldnt be without jobs.. :wow:

dude was one of the real ones out there..

being a Chef myself.. i can tell you, theres ALOT going through peoples minds in that kitchen.. mix that, with alot of hard drug abuse, alcoholism, etc.. its a very hectic, and straining job.. it could drive the sanest person, to the brink of insanity off a single shift..

with that said.. dude was a great Chef, and a from Chefs ive known that have worked with.. or, just had the opportunity to chill with dude.. he was a pretty dan genuine guy, both on & off camera.. RIP to dude..
