The only thing that I can rationalize in this thread is that some people are being purposely obtuse about the vaccine. The purpose of it is to slow down the mutations of covid so that we can eventually get ahead of it. We will never get ahead of it if it is allowed to run roughshed over people, particularly the unvaccinated. This is not a zero sum game where we are looking into this by deaths. There are many long term effects that have shown up with Covid. Loss of senses, cognitive effects, heart and respiratory effects, etc.. When you have these people with newly acquired health issues, it manifests itself in our health system, floods the ERs of hospitals across the country, placing a huge amount of strain on the bandwidth of these services. Some of these people never retire. The science has already proven itself to have 'won' and when you find yourself siding with the likes of Sarah Palin, Louis Gohmert, Lauren Boebert and people like this,

your thought processes needs calibration. Government wouldn't have to mandate anything if people had the common sense, decency or foresight to understand the end goal is to eradicate covid in the first place but some people are too easily drawn to conspiracy theories and just outright foolishness.
