This is our world now. Someone is dissatisfied with someone else for whatever reason so their reaction is to pick up a gun and go shoot them dead and the public will cheer for that.

The initial reaction isn't disgust at the use of violence but being pleased over who the target of the violence is. That's how we know society is lost. That's how things like mass shootings are normalized because everyone is firm in their own convictions and when gun violence is seen as acceptable it becomes a valid solution to all even people who see the world way differently than just you.
