I thought artists way of promotion these days was through features.

She chose to push a feature with Chris Brown as one of her lead singles. his last album sold less than this one did. thats on her.

She let them open for her on the OTRII tour a co-sign doesn’t mean shyt unless you got the music to go with it. Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, etc came from hugely successful groups so the hype was there when they went on their own. She released awful single after awful single for two years straight. Beyonce isn’t her manager. She don’t owe her anything. Just being ASSOCIATED with Beyonce is what helped get both Chloe and Halle in the door in the first place. They’re albums as a duo never charted high, even though they were critically acclaimed. They pivoted into acting and, in my opinion, both did a good job on Grownish and THATS where both of they’re futures are. Chloe has FOUR movies coming out this year and Halle has the Little Mermaid live action film.


A tweet from Beyonce doesn’t do much of anything. Chloe either gonna fly or fail on her own. She misjudged the market in my opinion. Thot & B is already cornered by Summer Walker, SZA, and to a lessor extent Ari Lennox. Chloe should have been trying to go the Whitney Houston route or the black Taylor Swift route.

They listened to the album, the problem is they didn't listen a lot, and not many else did. 10k sales is millions of streams. It measures consumption so if you do 10k that means a lot of people listened once, never listened again, and you didn't have a hit record to hold their attention.

Said it in the other thread, Beyonce cosign was way too early.

Giving the mantle of a "queen" to 15 year olds who don't even know who they are yet was a miscalculation.**

In contrast, H.E.R and Normani were already grown women at the time and figured out who they were (acknowledging we never stop growing/learning of course).

**That said, maybe Beyonce did know what she was doing: you split the mantle and that makes less competition vs one single, younger star coming for your spot.
