Rumor has it Normani is being sabotaged behind the scenes. Because her "label problems" haven't continued due to random chance.

Also colorism is still a thing which is why most of the women doing well are of a certain color.

And as others mentioned she tried to go to the top without understanding her lane which is probably just R&B not pop. So if she doesn't pause her career and come up with a better plan to release songs that fit her sound she'll end up like Tinashe.

Also I heard some of Halle's solo work and she might actually be more talented. Because she has a 90's sound that fits her well.

Normani was in a girls group and has had similar problems while trying to become a successful solo artist. The problem with pop and r&b acts in this position is simple: you need a hit. The hit allows you to move on from your past. Justin Timberlake got a hit. Beyoncé got a hit. Michael Jackson got a hit. Once that happens the artist can truly grow up and move on from the group or duo dynamic. Chloe doesn’t have a hit. That’s all this is.
