Well this year I agree but if people wanted to reach they could say someone else . Jordan didn't get it every year , Shaq either . We saw the heat without Bron and wade beat the spurs and other games :manny:

that would be quite a reach.

of course steve nash shouldnt have won either one. if you are the best player in the league that year, then you are by every measure the most valuable in that year. theres no wiggle room there.

no, its not. how in the fukk can you be the leagues best, but you arent the most valuable?

Whether you agree or not that's how it's always been unless your telling me someone was better than Jordan those other times he didn't win it ? Someone could say the clippers without cp3 aren't a playoffs team or the Knicks without Melo aren't a playoff team or lakers without Kobe or rockets harden while the heat have wade and bosh or say they value kd or Melos scoring or cp3s assists etc . There is nowhere that states the MVP voting has to be for the best player because that's somewhat subjective

the mvp award has pretty much been a joke ever since steve nash won it
the media finds a agenda each year, and they roll with it
when lebron first came to miami, everyone in da media was like "oh he cant win any more mvp's now cause he's on a super team blah blah"

now that doesnt even get brought up anymore.
first they was talkin about his no foul streak
then the field goal percentage
den the win streak (which is cool but they over did it)

they picked their man early and ran with it.

this nikka is a on a superteam and doesn't even face consistent double teamed and ppl going ga ga over everything he does:mindblown:

great great player, probably the best in da world, but there's other player's who did just as much with Their team with LESS talent

:snoop: at marc gasol being on any mvp list

who has done just as much as lebron this season? you say "probably the best in the world" and literally the next phrase you are saying theres other players, plural, that are just as valuable. :wtf:

Brons the mvp, but you also gotta take the previous seasons into consideration when voting. Storylines aren't the be all end all, but the are very important to voters, and they use the previous year as a reference.

Imagine if KD won the finals mvp in 2012 and was putting up the same numbers this year AND they had a better record than miami; KD would be the front runner and it would be "his turn" to run the league with everybody laughing at bron and questioning if he'd even get 1 ring with an aging dwade.

in 2011 Rose won mvp that year because he upped his game, and not everyone realized just how good chicago could be without him, and im almost certain they swept the heat regular season.
Bron lost the mvp that year cause wade basically had a 1b to lebrons 1a year, plus the media was on the bron hate wagon, and they still finished lower in regular season standings AND lost a few times to the bulls.

in 2012 KD was more valuable to the thunder then bron was to the heat, and they had a better record; voters went with bron and his stats (which i understand but didnt fully agree based on regular season)

This year i gotta go with bron. Coming off a finals mvp (and gold medal), found the balance between playing efficient with no pressure, and being a killer in clutch moments, the numbers are better than everyone elses, wades slow start + best record in east by a mile, probably nba... And KD and westbrook appear closer is terms of productivity for the team

How the fukk does that NOT make sense? :shaq2:

MVP = who matters the most to their team's success. Now, I admittedly don't watch too much NBA, but you gonna tell me that Bron, on a squad with a gang of future hall of famers, is more valuable to his squad than, say, Harden is to his? That the machine wouldn't more or less chug along to the top of the East without him anyways?

Only Noah has had arguably more defensive impact this season.

If you think it's that much of a laughable opinion, you either don't know how to read a player's defensive ability or you haven't watched enough Memphis games.

:mindblown: at how nikkas still don't get it. MVP is not for most valuable player or for the best player. It's not even about an individual. MVP is really a team award. Take a look at some of the greatest seasons ever (Wilt 50 and 25, Big O Triple Double, MJ 37) and none of them won MVP. It comes down to a combination of team success, great individual play, and narrative.

Coming into this year the front runner for MVP was Durant. He had the team. He had the narrative and we know he's a beast individually. If Bron and the Heat hadn't taken it to another level this year he'd probably win it. If the Knicks hadn't experienced that mid-season swoon and they were still competing with the Heat for 1st in the East Melo would probably be the front runner based on his recent play. If the Lakers were anywhere near what they were expected to be Kobe would be up there.

I know ! They routinely don't give it to the best player :what: Shaq , Kobe and Jordan definitely didn't win enough mvps

I'm not going to get into any arguments about what it means to be MVP because we could all go back and forth for days on it. But the fact remains....by ANY MEASURE, Lebron is hands down the MVP this year and it isn't really even close

If you watched Jordan during his prime and watched Lebron now and your head wasn't clouded by some sort of bias, you would see that Lebron this year is playing on a level that is just as high as Jordan ever did. This is probably the best season I have ever seen with my own eyes (obviously not old enough for Wilt or Oscar or whatever so can't compare them)
