Disagree. The money is massive and the players have collectively bargained to get a certain % of it. Back when Lebron signed a 6/$110 million it was still basically the same % of the teams salary cap as Scottie Barnes 5/$225 million. And the owners basically set limits on how many years a contract can be to save themselves from terrible decisions. The money is so massive now that I think it's more than fair to have non-guaranteed contracts or a way to cut guys.
When LeBron signed with Miami, he got 6/$110 million. Jaden McDaniels got 5/$131 million last year; OG got 5/$212 million; Scottie Barnes signed 5/$225 million.
How do you tell a 22-23 year to improve or hold them accountable for anything when they're getting generational wealth right after they're legally allowed to buy alcohol?
It is more than fair to blast incompetent management when they give out lousy contracts.
At a minimum, the Amnesty Clause should be brought back.
I used to think he simply just didn't read the room. Scratch that, it now looks like he doesn't give one f*ck.![]()
im always curious WHY people care how seriously players take their jobs.....
if youre 6'8 with a 40in vert...and have always been the best at ball no matter where you were or how seriously you take it...
....if someone is going to give you $200M to do it...you'd take it too....
i know it pisses people off that these guys dont live and breathe their jobs....and it is a job...no matter how much they're paid
those guys are human
lets be honest all of us at one time or another have half-assed it at work....they're doing the same thing....
everyone dont have the drive of kobe or jordan or lebron....those guys live and breathe basketball....guys like PG...Harden...Embiid...those guys just dont

Man he really love that girl
I remember when she was the stripper he got preggo
You named three guys total and didn't mention that there was a lockout shortly afterwards.I’m surprised a lot of y’all bring this up given most of y’all are 40+. Juwan Howard, Alonzo Mourning and KG signed $100M+ contracts in the mid 90s. And KG signed his deal after only being in the league for 2 years. That’s $300M in today’s money and those guys were still motivated. Even if you gave the current crop of guys half of what they’re getting now they still wouldn’t be more motivated.
She did help him when he was in the hospital after the injury with the US team...Now , he's got her like the trophy wife she wanted because he doesn't have a choice.
Again...he didnt just start the podcast. They coveted dude for more than a year while he was chatty pattying. Also says a lot when he played 74 last year and still avg just over 50 for his time in LA. Dudes dont tend to get less injury prone in their mid-late 30s. And nonethless they coveted him for more than a year. That aint got nothing to do with the max or stealing. Thats all about orgs being dumb and at some point we gotta hold them accountable and stop looking for ways to let them of the hook...that they keep choosing to put themselves on.
yea honestly i dont have any issues with paul georgeim always curious WHY people care how seriously players take their jobs.....

KG and Zo's deals were worth it. They were 2 of the top big men in the league even that early in their career. I never understood that Howard contract with the Wizards. Even at Michigan I saw him as the 3rd best of the Fab 5.I’m surprised a lot of y’all bring this up given most of y’all are 40+. Yeah but he's still on a crowded beach. He's got the money to get more privacyHis whore wife posted it
I watched him play at Fresno State. He literally came out of nowhere. Maybe a 3 star player at best if that. When he did this dunk, I knew there was something to him and he was going places.PG actually wasn’t highly recruited coming out of HS.
