Wait a minute, is Murray coming to TEXAS? Would Sumlin try to block him from coming to UT?

I can't imagine Sumlin letting him transfer to Texas. If he made Texas a player, that would obviously hurt A&M's recruiting.

Also, there's no way Murray is 5"11. No way.

A&M was an all male military school. Just like their delusional fan base, they haven't come to terms that it's 2015 and not 1915.

Johnny Football was the best and worst thing to ever happen to them.

Best for obvious reasons....but worst b/c he overinflated the fanbase and their expectations..

That said, talent-wise they stack up pretty well against the best teams in the SEC.

Sumlin being cooked at A&M means STRONG should be eating up all those A&M recruits. Time for Gilbert to earn that paycheck. He needs to flips some of them A&M 5 stars to Texas.

Doing both can be copecetic. Plus he legit might like football more. Baseball wont go anywhere and first contract nfl money > minor league baseball prospect money
:yeshrug: some posters dont think that he likes football more.. they just thinking about the money

I asked this in the other long Kyler Murray thread and nobody gave me an answer. Who the hell pulls out of the draft and what reason would they have for doing so? Seriously, can anyone attempt to explain what the upside is in "pulling out of the draft"?

People keep repeating the idea that he would've been a high first round pick if he didn't decide to play football but he didn't have to pull out of the draft to make that decision. We have examples of guys whose hype matched their draft stock like Mauer, kohl Stewart and the Donovan carter kid who signed to play baseball. We have examples of guys who didn't go as high that played college football and baseball in Jameis Winston. We know there are guys that legitimately pass up contracts to play both college football and baseball like the ole miss corner. We know guys like locker and Wilson who played minor league ball in the summer. Hell I can go back to fukking roscoe crosby and drew henson whose baseball hype matched their actual draft slot.

But what supposedly top half 1st Rd guy just forfeits the chance to at least see what slot bonus he'd command? I have a hard time believing he passed up top half 1st Rd money. What's more believable is he passed up compensatory - 2nd Rd money which is still great but makes more sense considering this situation. In that case I can understand passing up $1.5 mil to try to double that after 3 years of college baseball or even switching to maybe slot receiver and making the nfl that way. The kid from Ole miss can flat out say he passed up x amount of dollars. With Murray we're just speculating at the end of the day.

If you been paying attention to A&M's 2016 recruiting class this year, it's been :flabbynsick: compared to the previous seasons under Sumlin.

It now looks like Rival SEC schools are benefiting more from A&M's move to the SEC than A&M actually is. This is exactly what a lot folks predicted would happen.

A&M doesn't have any 5 stars recruits commited to them in the 2016 class.

The 3 highest rated college football games in Houston all featured Alabama. :francis:

It really is stunning just how quickly this city has turned into a sec town. About a year ago i turned on the radio and there was a Mississippi st coaches show on the air... in Houston.:scust:

It's only gonna get worse...

Strong getting Murray could possibly buy him another year in Texas. It would be a huge coup to swoop Murray from A&M.
