It sure isn't because of his talent as he's been overrated for years now IMO.

Where in my comment did I allude to hating on him
you are fukking out of your mind
Even then, it still comes down to money. If the Netflix special was a flop, then Netflix would have had no problem with throwing him under the bus. This literally just a business move and then going to bat for their investment.
They aren't just doing this for any comedian that has a special on their Netflix. I highly doubt that they'll have the same consistency the next time a different comedian pulls what Dave just did.

"we hear you. We feel your pain. We will review the special and make amends for any pa--"
:.."....sir...the numbers are in, he beat out all platforms. #1 in america"
"After review we here at Netflix value ALL perspectives that examine our society and wont censor bold voices from historically marganlized communities.....furthermore...."

They paid for the special, it’s apart of the deal. It doesn’t matter if it was a success or a flop. The business is already done and they’ll stand behind it.Even then, it still comes down to money. If it was a flop the real question would be if they’d sign him to another deal. The answer would likely be no since it wouldn’t be worth the hassle. But since it was a smash success? They’re ready to drop more money on him. Anything to keep him away from Amazon.
