They aren't, they still need content curators, engineers, people to manage their servers, and all kinds of shyt. Automation is happenning and will impact the economy but near full automation is a scare tactic to keep workers in line.

Covid would be the perfect time to implement automation as you can fire workers without the bad PR and implement machine but business has mainly stayed the same
