If Daboll wasn't on the hot seat he could play Jameis instead, but now he's got to roll with the kid to see if he has something. If Dart shows any kind of life the coach & GM can stick around longer. If Dart isn't it at least Daboll's conscience will be free and he'll know he's out no matter what and can prepare to be an assistant somewhere next season.

Was it? He was never the best pocket passer(primarily because he's super short for a QB), but he was able to be super mobile and make plays on the move in Seattle. Once the legs started going, so did his effectiveness

It has to drive coaches insane and I'm surprised he's been able to sign so many deals as a starter. Every year it's the same shyt. He stops running the offense at some point, rolls out the pocket and does dumb shyt. I never thought about the height issue but I think you're right. I never bought the idea that he can't read defenses. I'll give him more respect than that. Him not being able to see well, and his arrogance towards coaching (which was developed in Seattle where he was coddled) plays a role. He'd rather throw a moon ball than get a 1st down.

Yeah it's really obvious now. He still has the instincts and the deep ball still works well but he's just a step or two too slow when he scrambles around and he can't get away from the young guys anymore

IMO the GMEN should flip Russ to like the Bengals cause Browning isn't going to get them to the playoffs.

If Dart is completely overwhelmed then yeah, you put Jameis in and let the kid learn. Brady was on commentary saying how important it was that Dart was sitting and learning and he's starting next week this has a high potential for disaster

Russ maybe damaged goods…. They should flip Jameis…… he may give them 3500yrd passing.

Now granted he may give them 28 INTs, but he may give them like 33TDs and I think the team would enjoy playing with him.

He’d win the locker room…. I dont think Russ would win the Bengals locker room and culture is important

Honestly think the new disgused cover defenses teams are doing has hastened his decline.

Took away the deep ball and now has to rely on the underneath routes which he has never really been good at. Add in he cant extend plays with his legs anymore and its a recipe for disaster
