Russ performance last week was the best for a Giants QB in years. I don't think it's fault they are 0-3. The GMen have been terrible for years before Russ even got there. Which is why Saquon and Daniel jumped ship. I don't ever remember Daniel let alone Eli late in his career putting up those type of numbers. But the reality is Daboll seat is scorching hot and Russ sadly had a short leash. Also Dart didn't look too bad in preseason so they feel good about throwing him in the fire. This seems like another dumpster fire Giants season if they don't turn it around fast. I think Dart will pull out some wins but this feels like they are giving up on the season going with a rookie this soon. Russ just hasn't had the best luck since leaving Seattle. Only the Steelers seemed like a good fit. Denver wasn't and the GMen just weren't a good team. At least he's getting over 10 Milli this year plus he has this Sports Kids clothing line. Russ will be fine financially. I also don't' think Russ career is over yet.

As a starter barring injury, it absolutely is. Whatever benefit of a doubt people initially gave him after Seattle traded him is long gone.

same goes for many other bridge qbs with young rookies behind them. dont think flacco will start after the browns bye, and it might be much earlier than that

this has been a normal thing for old vet qbs who are brought in to start in front of a 1st round pick...at some point in the year the first round pick will start, its just a matter of which week

I don't think people are surprised about Russ being a bridge. The main concern is when they're deciding to give the reigns to Dart. This could really fukk his head up if things don't go right. We're gonna find out a lot about Dart and about our team as a whole by the end of October
