Look, I get what they're saying, I really do but if the Netflix-WB merger gets blocked then the only other potential suitor that will get WB is Paramount.

Does the WGA really want Trump and Saudi-aligned Paramount to control WB? Because that's what will happen. Paramount owning WB will be MUCH worse than Netflix.

Theaters are failing because the experience is too expensive and the available movies don't justify a trip to the movies. A great theater experience is still unmatched

Nobody not a serial killer is trying to catch the vibes of people in a dark movie theater my guy. And people have complained about loud ass people, kids not shutting the fukk up, somebody eating a 30 minute old pulled pork sandwich they snuck in stinking up aisles etc since movie theaters existed.

Yeah, but Comcast was a distant third. The bidding war was really between Netflix and MAGA Paramount. Regardless of who gets WB, it will be a major company taking over another major company, and I would rather a non-Trump-aligned company at the helm.

WB decided to put themselves up for sale. This was the inevitable result. I prefer Netflix owning WB.

House Of Cards is a Netflix original but technically was done via partnership with Sony. Same with Orange Is The New Black. Those are their two most iconic/important shows.

I feel like those were the first two, especially House of Cards that made people consider Netflix as a place to see “elite” TV. They were also the first two original shows.

Stuff like Stranger Things doesn’t get highly anticipated without those two giving the company credibility creative wise.

Blockbuster summer movies and comedies are enhanced by seeing it in theaters and enjoying with other people.
