i know.... i said I forgot they drop on friday .... i was starting the week on sunday...Basically if a movie came out today 1/2/26 then the last day would be 1/18/26 for theaters. They figure that movies typically make 60% of their gross in the first three weekends but they want people to be motivated to sub to Netflix to get these movies soon after release.
I don't like it but I understand what they trying to do
Plus the first 2-3 weeks 90% of the profits go to the studios, after that the theater makes a few bucks.. thats why they always push for concessions
