Having a smart phone makes life so much easier. Folks use smart phones for all types of shyt.
Automobile companies aren't putting gps in cars anymore because most people have them on there phone.
Look at how much all the companies outside of tech companies cater to smart phones..

lol I'm not disagreeing with you just saying. Smart Phones are better a investment if your on the go and I would not be using no burner phone on my way to hospital if I had excess to my personal contacts on my smart phone. I would not need to call nobody but family at that point not no street dudes.

I'm not really sure why your stuck on this smart phone thing, but I'll give you the perspective of someone who use to sell them.

There's plenty of people, specifically older, that do not give a fukk about a smart phone. Some are scared of technology & don't need all that extra stuff. For some, it doesn't fit their lifestyle.

I do agree smartphone's make life easier, but you can't use YOUR experience with a smartphone & assume everyone else will utilize it the same way.

I can tell you the majority of the general public is extremely dumb & don't even know how to use their smart phones. I can also tell you that I've seen 6 year old kids showing their parents how to use their phone.

Suge may have an assistant that does all that shyt for him. It really doesn't seem out of character for an old school, 50 year old man to have a flip phone. I'm just basing this on my experience. Again, I understand what your saying, Your looking at these phones as a status symbol.

In fact, this is just based on speculation, but do you think a guy like Suge even uses the phone that often? Nygga is an old school, let's meet & talk face to face. Nygga probably used the phone for emergency reasons.I doubt you'll ever see a Suge text message posted online. Hell, in an era where conversations are recorded, have any suge conversations been online?

Your right, He's probably just old school.
I'm not looking at it so much as status symbol more so one is more effective than the other for a busy person.
Take for instance El chapo, he ran his business with lots of high tech gadgets and such and that helped him stay in invisible for years. Now a days you can not have some type of email address because many businesses especially in entertainment run through on email/phone. Someone sends you an email with an important notice or document and you don't have access to a computer the next best thing is a smart phone.
Plus I don't think an assistant should have too much of a handle on stuff like that. Suge should have smart phone just like the assistant. What the assistant gets Suge should have too.
I'll tell you one thing you don't see the secret service with some flip phones
