Dudes a mid tier point guard in the same breathe as Raymond Felton. He's not worth all the hassle especially since that position is so deep in the NBA. Marketability doesn't win games and he's not all star caliber so why all the fuss

At the end of the day if Lin really wanted to come to new york he would not have signed that offer sheet. Remember Lebron and bosh took less money Lin was willing to sign with the highest bidder. Fields and Lin were like a packaged deal and if one is gone you might as well say piece to the other. We gonna have to disagree I just don't think he's that good or gonna be. There's guys like George Hill, Bayless, and Dragic who are just as good as him but he's valued over them because of his marketability. He's not even a Top 20 point guard yet he's gonna see that kinda money.

To me his run this season was like Flip Murray in 2003 when Allen was out.

U don't need an economics major to go where the most money is. It's basic arithmetic. I don't blame Lin for taking the money but he can't be shocked the Knicks didn't match. He's not worth 14 million any season. He's both worth going over the luxury tax threshold and he's not the final piece to a championship team. Houston basically outbid themselves. I think Lin is overrated and now that he's got paid and a little bit of fame the odds of him staying stagnant is high. Plus his contract sets a standard because every scrub starter making less is going to try to out play him every night to prove the deserve more or just as much.
