Believe it or not, this came up at a job I worked at years ago. A male coworker had an iron cross tattoo. Another female coworker told me she told him that people might associate his tattoo with being a Nazi sympathizer. She said he said it’s a symbol of Germanic culture and pride and didn’t know it had a Nazi connotation. I don’t know bruh.

I’m going to show my ignorance here but I associate nazism with German culture.

Most young people, even if they are not history buffs, know something of the Nazi uniform and insignia's of World War 2. I'd expect a young cac to have seen his share of WWII movies or played Battefield, Wolfenstein type video games where you are fighting Nazis. Those Iron Crosses can't be missed.
