Cuz we all know rappers are not entertainers, they are everything they depict in their music...and yet they're untouchable by police

haha...

It makes you wonder about the competency of American police...You have rappers a.k.a. armed & violent emotionless drug lords detailing the "truth" about their drug exploits and other crimes, giving you dates, places, names and etc, and the cops still can't arrest these self-confessed "drug lords"

No wonder the Feds can't win the "war against drugs"

The funny thing is, if fat fukk had been contrite & sincere with his "explanation/apology", he'd still be on Reebok's payroll. His inability to step outta character is finally starting to catch up to this dude

See this is the thing that bothers me. They didn't trip off the fact his music promotes drug dealing and violence in the black community, but for the fact that he hinted at date rape on someone's song. fukk Reebok, and I don't care about their shyt anyway

:dwillhuh:

Ross only took this L because his image of being a "BAWSE" got damaged recently with all the GD extortion videos that got released.

White people got the memo that not only is he a fraud but he's a 'vulnerable' fraud and that gave them the green light to start going after his money. :mjpls:

If Ross was a more legitimate emcee in terms of his character he may not have gotten dropped so easily, but Reebok knows the public doesn't give a damn about this fraudulent pig. NEXT

So that only black people can buy his record? Because he's gonna go gold again off just nikkas for sure. :aicmon:

Some of y'all don't even think. Nelly learned from his mistakes. Ross gotta learn from his.

He'd have to admit he made a mistake, before he could learn from it. He too much of a BAWSE for that shyt though :sadcam:

White people don't give a fukk that nikkas kill and shoot each other and sell dope all day.

As long as it isn't affecting THEM. And shyt like date rape carries over into their territory... then they get upset. :pachaha:

This, plus I think Ross was in denial of this whole situation. I don't think he though it would get this big. n/h

True, true but there is hedging against gangsta talk. You can talk about your past, be a narrator, violent lines being protecting yourself against people trying to move against you and on.

But rape lyrics, there's no hedging that. The g's, men, women, police, ..., no one respects it in any form.
And Ross didn't try very hard to offset the problem either.
Eminem did it and had bigger demonstrations that this, he didn't give a fukk though and just smartened up. Luckily for Em, he does not have a problem with excessive spending, was too big for anyone to drop him from anything (even though he didn't have a lot of endorsements back then).

Ross however is a barely gold artist, he's replaceable.
It's just business.

Hi,

I am William Roberts, and rape is nothing to make light of. Women are the world's most precious jewel, and should be treated as such. We have to start NOW. Even I, as an artist, must become lyric-conscious, in regards to the respect I show to women. I am sincerely sorry for those ignorant lyrics and will do whatever it takes to prove how much respect I have for women.

Thank you

This is what a real human being would've said as soon as criticism started bubbling. Even if you had wrote an apology for Ross he would've switched women for Maybachs or crab meats or something else far removed from reality. Dude just got dropped from a major corporation & STILL probably don't know what the fuss is about :wow:
