This is what a real human being would've said as soon as criticism started bubbling. Even if you had wrote an apology for Ross he would've switched women for Maybachs or crab meats or something else far removed from reality. Dude just got dropped from a major corporation & STILL probably don't know what the fuss is about :wow:

:russ:

Women are so precious. So supportive. Respect is overdue. They allow me to consume the finest crab meats.

Eminem has rapped about this type shyt and a lot worse. CACs still embrace him.

Just sayin :yeshrug:

Eminem used to get protested heavily when his album dropped. Folks hated that dude. Difference back then was social media was just a fledgling thing (only AOL & Yahoo back then) and those special interest groups were nowhere near as powerful back then.

Feminists and gay rights groups had little say so back then. Rappers and folks could rap about rape and bashing gays with no issue back then. Even Pac was able to get past his "rape" situation and still be famous. Now in 2013... all that shyt has changed.

Hence Ross's dilemma. :pachaha:

The funny thing is, if fat fukk had been contrite & sincere with his "explanation/apology", he'd still be on Reebok's payroll. His inability to step outta character is finally starting to catch up to this dude

tried to handle this the same way he addressed the CO shyt. backfired this time.

Eminem has rapped about this type shyt and a lot worse. CACs still embrace him.

Just sayin :yeshrug:

nikkas conveniently forget just how much human rights groups HATED marshall mathers back in the day. like the elton john performance wasnt an apology to gay rights activists. or how he basically had zero in the way of endorsements, and made damn near all his money off music (which in turn allowed him to say "fukk you" to anyone that didn't like what he was doing).

luda aint lose his pepsi deal over less?

cmon now. you wanna eat off the big corporations, these are the rules you play by.

See this is the thing that bothers me. They didn't trip off the fact his music promotes drug dealing and violence in the black community, but for the fact that he hinted at date rape on someone's song. fukk Reebok, and I don't care about their shyt anyway

That says more about us than it does about Reebok.

We have let this shyt slide for so long we have made ignorance commonplace.

nikkas still bringing up Em? He didn't have endorsement deals, and groups were still protesting him hard back in 1999/2000. Remember how crazy feminist and gay groups about him going to the Grammys back then, when he did Stan with Elton?

Feminists got mad power,
If only we,
Blacks,
Had power like that when,
Lil' Wayne made that line about Emit,
Wonders what David Banner thinks about it.

But i've seen nikkas in here asking why feminists aren't in an outrage about guns and dope and black on black crime in the lyrics if they can be in an outrage about rape.

Now it's not like i agreed with them but Calvin Butts and Delores Tucker raised all kinds of hell and got disrespected and ignored for doing what you are asking the feminist movement to do.

This is only going to hurt hip hop. It may start with ross but other people lyrics are going to get called out now.

How does this hurt hiphop? Ross can make a whole album about rape and release it independently if Def Jam is not having it, he should just not expect to get shoe deals from it. And like alot of people already pointed out, Em had no shoe deals to lose, and he wasn't Slim Shady doing interviews with a chainsaw talking about slashing gays. Ross never gets out of character, and he's looking like a goddamn fool.

MDMA users should've protested for this inaccurate portrayal of the effects the drug causes :youngsabo:

That's what you get for writing fantasy rhymes :pacspit:
