Roman screwed up big time. This is one of the scenarios where the WWE trying to be mainstream is going to bite them in the ass.

Nobody put a gun to his head and made him take that spot.

For one his home life isn't the happiest of homes despite the stuff he's been saying lately about his wife. Him and his wife have been in and out of marriage counseling for a hot minute now. So things may show that he should be happy and skipping down the hallway at work but since 2014 my boy told me that him and the baby mama/now wife haven't always been on the best of terms. Hell she got pregnant right when he wanted to leave her and got drafted to the NFL. That "might" be an issue to why he is depressed. He developed an alcohol problem in college as well. So I'm not sure. I haven't talked to R in a hot minute. No one knows until it comes to light though.

The fact that they revealed this and yet Cena hasn't been busted in 14 years suggests to me that something fishy is going on.

No. There are a lot of things that are violations. Any drug that is illegal is included besides pot, which is just a fine.

Not making an excuse but if he got popped for anti-depressants I can kind of see why he would be kind of down. He's being groomed to be the top guy but he's getting a lot of hate. I'm not a fan of his but that can take a toll on you. Even if it's kayfabe it can take a toll on you when you're supposed to be a face but getting booed by 15,000 + people at arenas 3-4 times a week. Cena gets a lot of hate but he still has a significant fan base and is constantly requested to make a wish.

Add to the fact that he's away from his wife and daughter and taking bumps almost on a daily basis it can take a toll on someone physically and psychologically. Again not making excuses for the dude but if true I can see why he would take anti-depressants.

And that's not even taking into consideration organic depression, which has more to do with brain chemistry than life circumstances.

Never really thought about it before, but pretty much all the faces of the company since the 80's and more than likely before that have had 'difficult' home lives.

Hogan, Randy, Bret, Shawn, Taker, Rock, Stone Cold and Cena have all had at least one divorce. Flair probably holds the record. Seth is so ahead of his time that he got divorced before he got married.

Have to disagree on this one. RVD being busted was 10x worse than Roman's situation.

Roman is a Vince/HHH pet project who is younger than RVD was when he was champ and wasn't arrested for anything. In the long-term, he'll be fine.

RVD was a) arrested while he was DUAL champ (held both ECW and WWE Titles) and wound up dropping both titles in back to back nights 3 weeks into both reigns. Not to mention he was the first WWECW champ and I'm guessing he wasn't supposed to drop the belt that quickly and b) a 36 year old, former ECW guy who was backed by Paul Heyman, which doesn't spell "long term WWE champ" to begin with.
