so why doesnt the state take a census and poll illegals? why the fukk would the federal government not want to know whether you were a citizen or not? why would it assign electoral votes, or any money, to foreign citizens?

The reason this is an issue is because it'll just cause people to not participate in the census and skew the results.
But I assume by default that Supreme Court is going to vote 5-4 in Trump's favor (on any issue) so it is what is is.

Just because you may be a non citizen you still require services, pay taxes, their children may even be citizens and the list goes on.
Whether you’re figuring out tax rates or basic services what matters is the raw numbers.
All of this has an impact on everything whether macro/micro.
This isn’t some complicated concept but I don’t expect a lot from someone who doesn’t understand how to read a poll.

they do to a degree whether you want to believe it or notIf an illegal immigrant calls 911 because their child is having a seizure are they supposed to not respond because he's illegal? Or if an illegal shows up at a shelter hungry are they supposed not feed her?
The point of the census is to get an accurate count of how many people are actually living in an area to account for these types of situations. As much as you like to accuse people of being "emotional" your argument mostly just comes down to you just having irrational antipathy for immigrants to the point of ignoring logic. The point of the census isn't who does or doesn't deserve whatever, it's to be accurate.

i disagree. they're performing labor here, they're paying sales taxes, they're part of the economy. therefore, they deserve representation. if you worked in some other country but weren't a citizen, i'd want representation for you there, too.
