Once again you’re showing that you don’t watch the NBA like that and completely missing the point :mjlol:

The intricacies of 2nd-apron tax penalties don't come up when players are running the pick-and-roll in the third quarter of a playoff game. :dead:

What you actually mean is, "You don't watch NBA talk shows and talking heads like that." And you're right - I've said repeatedly that I NEVER watch all that bullshyt that y'all waste years of your life intaking. No talk shows, no pregame, no halftime, no postgame. I focus on the game and how it's played, not all that other bullshyt. Other than clips posted here and what happens to be on in the barbershop, I don't watch any NBA talk shows at all.

Whether the owner has enough to pay the luxury tax is irrelevant because the 2nd tax apron penalties make the consequences not worth it for crossing it.

Bullshyt. The consequences aren't so bad that teams won't cross that threshold for a year or two if they think it'll make them a contender. If the salaries you're playing are for good enough players, then the consequences only really push the limit when you cross it for a third year. Unless their owners are bigger cheapskates than they look, I fully expect the Timberwolves to go into the 2nd apron for at least one year and likely two, then they'll dump Gobert either during that 2nd year or let him walk afterwards.

You literally didn’t even know that Mike Brown was still a coach in the NBA days ago until I pointed it out to you and even then you tried juelzing your way out of it to the point that another poster had to call you out on it.

You don’t need to watch NBA talk shows and talking heads to know that :mjlol:

Notice how you just got caught being dead wrong about the 2nd apron, but you're deflecting towards something else. :mjlol:

"Didn't know" and "Wasn't thinking about" are two different things. I've literally discussed Mike Brown on the Kings on this forum before, but yeah, I haven't thought about the Kings in months and was still thinking about his tenure before that as an assistant coach.

I've caught you in some stupid-ass mistakes before too, like when you thought the entire 2020 regular season wasn't going to count and only the 8 games after the Covid break counted.

Is that what you’re calling it now :mjlol:

First you called it an omission. Now you’re saying you weren’t thinking about it especially since you were using it in the context to try and defend Lebron which people poke fun at you about all the time

I know exactly what I meant when I made that 2nd apron comment. My point just went over your head.

Wait, how did you think that "an omission" and "wasn't thinking about" are somehow mutually exclusive? :dahell:

omission noun /oʊˈmɪʃ.ən/ the act of not including something or someone that should have been included, or something or someone that has not been included that should have been:

especially since you were using it in the context to try and defend Lebron which people poke fun at you about all the time

:dahell: does that have to do with anything? My point was still the same, and the fact that you completely deflected from the wrong point there (claiming Bron was a coach-killer and no one lasted with him even though Mike Brown, Eric Spolstra, and Ty Lue all did) in order to try to focus on a "gotcha" shows where you are.

Then you're bringing it up again a 2nd time out-of-context cause it didn't hit hard enough the first time. :deadrose:

I know exactly what I meant when I made that 2nd apron comment. My point just went over your head.

You claimed that it's not even worth it for teams to go over the 2nd apron because the penalties were too big. That's bullshyt, it absolutely is worth it still for a team to go over the 2nd apron if they think it will help them compete, and I expect the Timberwolves to do exactly that for at least the next couple years so long as they think they can win a title with this squad.

Teams always say that they’ll pay whatever it takes to keep the team together until the bill comes down then it’s a different story.

We’ve literally seen that time and time again in the NBA :mjlol:

Some teams are literally going to start shedding salary in an attempt to avoid the 2nd apron along with it’s penalties and reduce the bill. Bobby Marks has literally said that on more than once occasion, yet you think I’m just making the shyt up. Why else do you think that people are questioning how long that Celtics core will be able to stay together with all of its high priced salaries :mjlol:

Maybe you should actually start watching the talking heads so you can learn more information about what’s going on :mjlol:

You just pulled a 180 on your whole story. :what:

I said that the Timberwolves should have no problem with the apron so long as their owners are happy paying the bill, and you said, "It's not about the bill; the penalties make it not worth it." Now you're back to the bill?

When did I ever say that no teams would shed salaries to avoid the 2nd apron? :why:

We're talking specifically about the Timberwolves, and I said the Timberwolves specifically have put themselves in this position (by paying 3 max players and a half-max) by their own actions, and if they want to compete then they'll stay there for a couple years.

Maybe you should actually start watching the talking heads so you can learn more information about what’s going on :mjlol:

Maybe if you stopped watching the talking heads then you'd learn to think through this shyt on your own rather than striking out repeatedly trying to get a "gotcha".

You mean the same talking heads like Bobby Marks that knows more about the 2nd tax apron and penalties and what teams will potentially do more than me and you?

Its crazy they are letting Klay go but kept Draymond Green :dead:

I think Draymond has a more consistent positive impact at this point in his career than Klay does. But the bigger issue is probably just timing. Last year the Warriors were coming off of a WCSF fight with the Lakers despite Wiggins being a total mess and Klay only in his first full season back from 2.5 years of injuries. When they signed Draymond, they were probably thinking they could still be legitimate competitors for a couple more years so long as Wiggins and Klay got back into form and Kuminga improved.

Then this season happened, and I think they've realized their window is over.

Paying dray knight and not klay is diabolical. Steph gon raise hell

Steph can see the writing on the wall, and I'm pretty sure Steph is closer to Draymond than he is to Klay.
