What's funny is he has a long resume but no one has ever heard of him:

Mayor of Richmond (1998-2001)
Lt. Gov. of Virginia (2002-2006)
Governor of Virginia (2006-2010)
Chair of the DNC (2009-2011)
Senator from Virginia (2013-present)

The pick was clearly a "If I die whose experienced hands can I leave the country in" not a "who can I pick to get me elected" pick.

It's odd though, she probably could've had both.

This seems like a missed opportunity to give her campaign a jolt of excitement with someone like Booker, Warren or a Hispanic.

If Trump stays "Presidential" she may have trouble with minority turnout.
