If that makes you feel better.... I've probably watched 2 raptors games in the last 28 months... Before then, I probably watched 40% of all NBA games aired for about 8 years straight.... and before then, probable 80% of all NBA games showed on major networks for about 23 years....... bottom line.. I've watched a lot of ball with a lot of real ball heads.... I feel confident with my assessment

I remember that early 'Detail' where Kobe broke down what Derozan wasn't doing in terms of reading a defender, knowing where the help is coming, setting his man up on off ball screens...all the little things that SG's should be doing to create operating space. It was shocking at how Derozan really had absolutely no feel for the intricacies of the position.
It really shed light on why Derozan is massively overrated. It also is a testament to how poorly he's been coached over the years as well. Casey has had Derozan for several years and yet this man can't even read how to come off a JV or Ibaka screen in the best position to attack.
There's no defending Casey IMO. He had to go.
