I dont think I have it in me. I already have weak lungs cause I always had problems breathing while running even when im in shape. I feel pathetic just thinking about me struggling and drowning in a pool :mjcry:
nikkas so afraid of water for no damn reason.

:stopitslime:

My mother was scared to death of water and didn't let me near that shyt, I moved to Hawaii to live with my dad for a few years when I was young and basically taught myself how to swim in a few days. Was sufficient enough to swim a decent distance and control my breath within a few months. That was me as an out of shape 9 year old, getting over the fear of water was the most difficult part. Swimming started feeling natural once I stopped being terrified and panicking in the water.

That shyt is all in your head breh, human beings, like many air breathing species, have a natural but limited ability to traverse water. Fear is the only thing stopping you from doing it.

Jumping in to save someone from drowning without a buoy or a life vest is a death sentence. They will inadvertently drag you underneath water to prevent themselves from going back under. It's why life guards always have those buoys for people to grab onto so they can float above the water.
If you know how to do it - you essentially grab underneath their arms and swim on your back using your buoyancy to float and kick aggressively in one direction - you can absolutely carry someone heavier than you.

My dad had me in lifeguard classes as a kid - and while I haven't touched water in years, I still remember the technique.
This was fukked up on every level.

It is suspect in all seriousness. Not so much from an insurance point of view, but pent up jealousy.

You kind of expect that protective instinct to kick in.

nope. Directly correlated. They are bored with poor outlooks on life. Looking for dangerous activities for excitement and adrenaline rush. If they had free boxing gyms, swimming lessons, good paying entry level jobs I dont think they’d be engaging in this idiotic behavior.
fukk outta here. We in a pandemic, non of that shyt is opened. They shoulda been in they fukking house. I have a 7 month old son and I don’t think twice about doing something that will possibly lose his dad to jail or death.

somewhere between a pair of D cup tiddies
Dude when I turned 28 I was basically like “I’m freaking learning how to swim”. I went to my homie house and hopped in his pool and was swimming the same day. I for the life of me can’t tread water though...I’ma get professional lessons.
I have a hard time understanding how you can swim but not tread water :patrice:
I jumped in the deep end when I was a little over 3 (then got my ass whooped :ehh: ) and it came naturally.
Treading water is grasping the idea that you're pushing against the water to maintain your head above water.
You can feel a difference if you cup your hands vs just open handed. It's all pressure/force. Your hands are mini paddles and you're just pushing down casually and easily to maintain.
Think about it logically what you're trying to accomplish and it simplifies it.
That and not over thinking it. Maintain your composure and you'll be fine :yeshrug:
