I know a lot of brehs who self taught themselves and they swim the same way breh was swimming. Head above water, with some bootleg freestyle. The body would get tired real quick, especially if you not in shape doing that type of inefficient swimming.

Even jumping into the pool after not swimming how long, I would just switch from freestyle to breaststroke as I used less energy and could just glide my way through.

Like as someone said above, it is crazy that someone would dare you to do something, knowing it could result in your death and you go with the challenge, just because

No such thing. Everything is buoyant from a physics perspective, even bricks and solid rocks. He may have been 'neutrally buoyant' in which case the amount of air in his lungs/respiratory system would control how he'd float to some extent. Also, body fat is buoyant. A SEAL being 'neutrally buoyant' would be due to the denser muscle mass and lack of body fat, in which case breath control and stamina is paramount to his survival. Him not passing Swim Qual. has more to do with the absolutely INSANE requirements for SEALs rather than 'neutral buoyancy'.....although it plays a part.​
