Is driving that inconvenient? People can’t stop watching tv for any amount of time?

I’m more concerned with people’s inability to focus on what their doing at any given time.

Even smart houses are strange to me. Is turning on the light with an app or my phone that more convenient than flipping the switch?

The guy in the video is an idiot, so don’t take what his dumbass is doing as the goal of the technology.

I’ve been driving with Tesla’s Autopilot for over 4 years now, and the answer is a resounding YES driving is that much of an inconvenience that these features are welcomed. The two main convenience areas are Traffic Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer. TACC pretty much just maintains a constant distance between you and the car in front of you up to a set speed. This is the most impactful feature; I’ll engage this alone many times. Gone are the days of being annoyed by the dikkhead in front of you who can’t decide if he wants to go 73 or 71 mph. It’s also great in traffic, where things are stop and go. Autosteer just keeps you within the marked lanes. Slight curvatures in the road no longer need to be managed by the driver. The impacts of these features are felt the greatest on highways, particularly long highway drives. Whenever I find myself driving a car without these features (typically when out of town renting) the fatigue from all that footwork and minute steering is truly measurable.

stupid people are dangerous but alas darwin awards will be handed out to all early adopters of this tech who would like to be guinea pigs for the greater good of humanity.

Let's commend them.

that’s dope man.. I just had a semi long (2-hrs up and 2 hrs back) highway drive earlier in the week and both the lane keep and traffic aware cruise control would’ve made that drive a lot less annoying

Seems like a dope way to deliver a vehicle after purchase. Just send the empty car with the paperwork sitting there
