How do people with this lengthy rap sheet still walk among us. Clearly this dude is mental and should be in a cell somewhere not on a public transit. If you are walking around without a weapon in 2025 you are a soft target especially in public areas.

It doesn't get stated enough, but we have a mental health crisis in this country and a lot of psych wards are at capacity because of it. We simply have no where to put a lot of the crazy people we have. I've worked at a hospital and saw first hand how a police officer would pick up a mentally ill or homeless person (who is often times trying to get committed because they have no where else to go) get taken to a hospital and turned away because they have no room, and then referred to a different institution that turns them away too for the same reason. Society doesn't want to help these people, they're looked as a burden and as somebody else's problem, so once their families turn them away, the have no support structure and become a walking risk to everybody else.

Mental disability is recognized to a much greater extent now, so their not as easy a target to use for propaganda as they used to be.......but disabilities they break the ability to function in day to day society aren't nearly as sympathetic due to the numerous ways possible to end up there that don't garner the same sympathetic gaze.......the only logical outcome is that they want it to happen.......then they can keep people medicated while locked up and producing for the prison industry
