@FlyBoy718

did you check Riverdale in the BX?

some nice cribs out there, not sure about the prices though

theres parts in LI and in Jersey that'll do the job, but like you said, that commute

so many people I work with live in Jersey and LI.... we'll take clients out to dinner, and they're sitting in 90 min Ubers home and I'm walking to the crib

that shyt hurts..... but if you got kids you gotta do it I guess
Naw...being a BK head, any time I hear the BX I'm conditioned to :hhh: But I have read that Riverdale, Pelham, and Throgs Neck are some nice areas. Open to any and all sound advice at this point.

Isn't Ashanti from Glen Cove?

Nah, my fam that is on LI are in Jamaica Estates, St. Albans, Hollis, and then further out in Sag Harbor.

My cuz that I tried connecting you to on LinkedIn grew up in St. Albans but now lives in Jamaica Estates.

And then I have family in Westchester. But they are a different sort.
Aren't these all in Queens? I mean I get the whole BK and Qnz technically being a part of LI thing. Took me back to a time when I used to mess with a broad who lived in Jamaica Estates:mjlit:

Thanks. Do u live in LI? It's interesting u mentioned Westbury because I was thinking about Garden City. One of the parks we would go to is Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. Kind of pricy out there though. Definitely gonna avoid Hempstead though. My days as youngin at Jamrock and Nagasaki confirmed that for me:whew:Good looking on the driving through tip. Gonna get on my CharlieBo313 shyt:myman:

No prob

Yeah, I’ve lived in in 4 of the areas that I mentioned.

You got Garden City money? :ehh:

If I had that kinda money, I’d buy something on the north shore. It’s a little bit more diverse and less racist than garden city.

And I forgot about Jamrock. I remember they had a teen night, and my parents wouldn’t let me go lol

I live nearby Riverdale and it's fukking amazing. There ain't much I want that I can't get around here. But Queens and Brooklyn residents typically move to LI when they get money and Bronx and Manhattan people move to either Westchester or Jersey when they get money, so suggesting anything other than LI locations to BK heads doesn't seem right.

From the Chi but lived for a couple of years in the UWS. Aren't Riverdale and Pelham rich areas? And I thought Pelham was in Westchester?

From what I know, if you wanted to move to Westchester, New Rochelle, White Plains, and Scarsdale if you had the money, were decent communities for blacks.

I have a cousin that stays out in Katonah. Rarely see them. :mjpls: Titanically bourgie in an already overly-bourgie family.

It was way worse than it is now. I go there a lot for work and have a few friends from there, and though it isn’t as bad now, I wouldn’t live there.

Yeah I mean it's not the worst place I've ever seen but it looks rough, even more than Roosevelt I would say.

There are two "Pelham" neighborhoods in the Bronx, Pelham Parkway and Pelham Gardens

I've heard you need long bread to live in Scarsdale. My homie shorty used to live and Greenburgh and we'd make that trip every now and then to check her and her friends. Wasn't too much happening there but we went to New Rochelle a couple times to kick it and we had good times. Ironically my nieces HS principal just left her school to take over as the principal of New Rochelle HS. I believe he grew up out there and that's his alma mater. I've heard there's a nice Black population out there. Isn't that where Ray Rice and Grand Puba from?

What differentiates the two Pelham's? It's funny...this kid I grew up with in Bed Stuy moved to Roosevelt for HS. He used to always talk about how run down it was out there and he didn't exactly grow up in the best neighborhood.

How good are Baldwin schools?

Really good in my opinion. Graduation rate is in the high 90s, which is much better than Roosevelt and especially Hempstead.

And there is a high level of participation in the Honors/AP program. Lots of after school programs too.

However, there are definitely quite a few kids who are bad influences. I know because I was friends with a lot of them but thankfully never went down their path.

I'm not too familiar with the Pelhams but I know that Pelham Parkway is more urban.
