I believe it. The vending machines empty out every 2 days at my job.
And most of the items are going for over $2....
There's a lot of undercover businesses out there like this. You can supply the major corporations or smaller chains with parts and pieces they need for their products also. The supply side of things is not talked about as much as it needs to be.

Didn't watch the video (will later) but with vending machines, what does the business they put the machines in get? Why would they pick you and not a company that does it as a FT business that makes sure it's stay stocked.

Hotels are the best spot for a vending machine IMO. Apartment dwellers will be all the same same and probably have easier access to local stores but hotels will always have a new crop of visitors who might be tired from travel and willing to buy things from a machine.

He's putting them in places like student housing and other areas. It's hard to get them into major businesses because they already have contracts with food companies.

Yeah finding a good location is probably the hard part. I think a good idea is looking at any new construction
If you got 6 locations all average $1000/month each, you can damn near quit your job.
