Wish I knew this with one of my old civics. I took it to 300K with the OG engine and transmission.
oh i meant they do it for more like a milly+ and rocking oem almost everything... the other thing is everyone and their mama has a civic and they have a reputation for being long lasting so honda's probably torn down several examples already, there's not much left for them to learn. i'm sure if someone had a million mile jeep, fca would be on their knees tryna buy it back lol.

My first car was a 87 honda accord had over 200k on it before I sold it and got toyota.
I’d buy a 1994 Toyota or Honda before I buy a 2015 Chrysler

I laugh when people say “I’d never buy a used car”. Brand matters. American cars are junk for the most part with the exception of a few models.

All my family has ever owned was Honda and Toyota, most lasted well over 200k

Car wrecks or frame rust will kill old Toyotas and Hondas before the engines ever give out. Old 80s Volvos and Mercedes diesels too, absolutely unkillable. Just change the oil and timing belt at the proper intervals, and don't let it overheat. shyt, some of the Toyotas got timing chains so you don't even need to replace a belt.
