I don’t know his salary / total compensation but a $5,500 1 bedroom rent isn’t surprising to hear, particularly in Manhattan.

Most non-owners I know are paying at least $4K a month and yes they are saving a lot of money (e.g., fully funded mega backdoor Roth & 401K as well as savings and brokerage accounts)

also dude's voice and mannerisms are killing me :deadrose: :deadrose:
Thinking the same thing...
Even if I was a millionaire, I wouldn’t able to bring myself paying $5.5k for 1 bedroom

Unless it’s a mansion or very big house

I have always been kind of frugal and don’t understand how can someone just blow through the money like that
We're similar regarding frugality. If I made $20k (shyt $1M) monthly, trust 80%- 90% would go to savings/ investment. I'm tryna retire mad early.

My mind can't fathom spending that much bread monthly on throwaway shyt (i.e. clothes, carry out).:wow:

No judgment. What works for some may not work for me.

Edit: One more thing...I'm not sharing this type of shyt with no one let alone the world.:wow:

You might say that now but you find yourself making a $20 million dollar income and that $5500 dollar one bedroom is a one block walk from your office surrounded by 3 supermarkets, a pharmacy, 6-8 good restaurants, a sizable park to relax in, good food trucks nearby....a short train ride to sporting events etc

Lol that money would become a no-brainer for you
