In all seriousness op, she probably wants you to coddle her a bit. She wants to feel protected and let her guard down around you, and for you to make her feel safe. It helps show her that you can be empathic.

Part of having empathy and being nice, gentle, etc. For the sake of it. Make her feel safe.
