In 1927 American journalist Dorothy Thompson was appointed head of the Berlin Bureau in Germany for the New York Post. She witnessed the rise of the Nazi party. She didn't believe that the new German Chancellor was any threat/danger to the citizens of Germany at that time and carelessly called Hitler, "a man of startling insignificance."

It wasn't until the mid-1930's that she realized how wrong she was to overlook Hitler's behavior and dangerous edicts that exposed his political agenda and thirst for absolute power. She began warning readers and wrote in 1935, "No people ever recognize their dictator in advance...he always represents himself as the instrument of the incorporated national will of the people."

Applying the lesson to the United States, she later wrote, "When our dictator turns up, you can depend on it, that he will be one of the boys and he will stand for everything traditionally American."

I hate these comparisons. Hitler was a moderately wealthy kid whose father died and he ended up living on the streets and rose up from the bottom with nationalistic pride.

Trump is an ape that was raised with a silverspoon in his mouth who never worked hard nor did he live on the streets.

Two very different backgrounds/upbringings and Hitler believed in his ideals at a young age. Just read Mein Kampf.

If there is a comparison to be drawn it should be between Trump and Bush Jr.

Trump doesn't attend any of his daily briefs, he knows nothing of foreign policy, he has no core ideology, he is not that smart, he refuses to research, he behaves like a child. I'd say there is a stark difference between Trump and Hitler.

Trump is a messiah to his base and white supremacist who run this country. That's far more value than anything else. This isn't Obama, one has power, the other one doesn't.

You said Hitler believes everything he said. So does Trump.

Germany is a smaller country but America is a small country when you think about the influencers. Honestly, us Black folks just slaves. All of us. We don't even legally have voting rights at this time. Our shyt expired in 2015. Our "President" didn't do anything to get our rights to vote extended.

Even if we agree that they have a lot of similarities that doesn't negate the fact that neither Hitler nor Trump had/has any major beef with black folks. With Hitler, his beef was with the Jews and all the countries involved in the Treaty of Versailles. And with Trump, his beef is mostly with Muslims (Arabs), Latinos, and the LGBTQ community. What has it got to do with black folks and why're we trying too hard by going out of our way to become the face of the anti-Trump campaign? Latinos aren't even crying and they're more worried about a black person being on Trump's cabinet instead of a Latino than Trump himself. Those are the folks y'all are fighting for.

Anyway, Trump is very similar to Reagan albeit the only difference is that this is the social media age. Both of them are clowns.
