The worst type of advice is unsolicited advice. Dont put yourself out there like that in the gym if you dont wanna be put on front street

I do that sometimes, but only if the person looks like they're at risk of injuring themselves (barbell lifts only).

I don't have anything to lose by asking "Hey, I noticed you were doing ____exercise. Do you mind if I give you some tips?"
They can either say send it and benefit from the knowledge or say they got it and continue about their business.


Either way I win: I either see fewer people assaulting my eyes with their dogshyt form or they continue to do what they do and make no gains and/or injure themselves, thus freeing up that rack/bench/plat for the real ones to get down on.

No, I'm not. Reread what I posted.


I don't have a dog in the fight so if a random gymmer doesn't want my advice*, then if they get injured or make no gains I still win. If they take the advice and fix their shyt, I'm good with that too. Most folks take the advice (even if they don't apply it) but some folks don't want it and that's cool too.



One side produces fewer bodies in the gyms I go to taking up space. The other can make you gym homies for life/abbrehntices that can put you on to other shyt. It's a no-lose situation either way.




*Caveat: This shyt only works when you're a gym big dawg.
