Depends on the jobs. I worked 7 days a week a for awhile and it didnt bother me BUT there wasnt much about the jobs I disliked

The perks were job#2 wasnt hourly based pay though and neither was my side hustle (job#3) so I didnt need much inspiration to work since I knew I was getting paid accordingly by working smart/hard and not by time spent

I got to choose whenever I worked job#2 and job#3 so it didnt seem that bad to me plus I had financial goals I wanted to meet so that was all the motivation I needed once I seen how it was paying off.

how did you manage your social life in that time ? so dates with your girl/going out etc ?

Saturdays and Sundays were the run-around/kick it days because I only had to work one job. Had the other 16 hours to do whatever, go wherever, study, etc.

Social life only took a hit on things that happened throughout the week, but I always had stuff to do on weekends and had the money to do it right.

I couldn't go to the Bulls/Bears game and sit in the cheap seats on weekday nights with the group, but I went to the ones Saturday night/Sunday afternoon and sat in the good seats with one of my sisters or brother and had a good time all the same.

Most parties and socials went down on weekends also, so I hit those too, no problem.

I slept a straight 3-4 hours after everything wound down, would prop my feet up and take a nap on my CNC lunch break for 30-45 mins, and take a nap on the train for 30 minutes while commuting to work in the office. I'd squeeze in ~5 hours a day total. More on the weekends if I didn't go out. That's what gets people is the sleep. But I've been a a bad sleeper since I was young, so it didnt matter.

Women: I always had girls around, but I made the mistake of having a few gf's in college while I was busy. BAD IDEA. (see my post in "How did you find out your boo cheated)

Other than them I never had women issues in college because they saw i would work hard and go out on weekends and do things other people couldn't do because they didnt have any money, so I always had 1 or 2 around when I wanted some female company.

After college :wow: They started to put two and two together easier because the mindset shifted. "He's always working, he's got two jobs and it's just him and I know he stacking his paper(salary info is public information in a federal job), what else is going on win him?." :ohh:

You've got to have a good reason to do it though.

I did it all for the money, it was all worth it when I got paid. I wanted to have, what Chappelle calls "f_ck you" money. For the people that talked about my car/clothes in high school. The people that would always go the cheap route when going out. I never wanted to have to say "I can't afford it", I remember a certain person saying that when they were talking about something and I told myself "I can't let that happen to me." That's what was strong enough to keep me running for 18 hours a day.

I got paid once a month for each job.I made $54k off the salary position and $19.22/hr off my CNC position. I'll never forget that rate either, because they wouldn't give me the shift differential. :sadcam:

I've gotten promotional grading so my salary gone up a chunk and I spoke on it in another thread, I could break 100k if I went back to CNC'ing, but I'm getting family pressure. People are getting older, etc so I can't do it(at the moment)

Have a good reason and I guarantee you you can pull it off. People are capable of amazing things when they have the determination.:salute:

No matter what - we all work 7 days a week, all things considered.

As with everything, you just have to decide if it is worth the time you might be taking from something else.

Social life wasnt a problem only got better

And in your case you just adding one more day to make money, not like you switching to working two jobs in one day and waking up like :damn:

If you in your 20's you'll still be able to :cook: like usual :salute:

gym 6 times a week ?! lol I'll go only 3 times a week. Your side hustle sounds good though :ehh: why don't you downsize instead of chucking it in the bushes full stop ? :ld: I don't think you should breh... you can put that extra income in some funds for your future and seed :ehh:

I'm gonna do just saturdays to start if it gets too much for me ill reconsider.

Your story is inspiring tho :ehh:
I just love to lift.... next year I'm gonna dial back the lifting and get back on the bike. My goal is to average 50 miles a week (and lose about 40lbs :sadcam: )

And we are OK money wise. This month we saved my whole paycheck from my regular job. More money would be good... this side gig will help us with the down payment on the house in a big way for sure, but its just gravy. Don't really need it. And its not worth the stress. The crazy client was calling me every day before I told him I wanted to quit... he finally took a hint and now we communicate mostly through email. Other thing is because its something through NYC, they approve it the year after. So I don't get paid in full until the year after. For example for the 2013 shyt I did I wasn't paid in full until like May. That's a PITA. Whole thing is a PITA. I want to get my engineering license (more certs :shaq: ) next year and will need this time to study.

Your gig sounds good though plus it's always good to network and diversify. Cant go wrong learning more about RE. But just know shyt is not all gravy. Lot of nikkas talk about "starting businesses".... I actually lived it. For the same money I will take a job every time. Let someone else worry about all the side shyt of a business. If I go into business again it will have to be to do something I absolutely love

If you like your job(s), six days a week is easy. Just cling onto your hobbies like grim death, clean up your diet, and when you get me-time, abuse it to the fullest. I did the 6 days a week with a terrible job for a few months and while I hated it, the money was goooooooooood. Thing is, I was always too tired to spend it on anything but food. Factor in the fact that months can pass you by chasing money, so make it count.

Your fiancé is tres beautiful.

I worked full time and on weekends both days. It is really draining. At least you get pne day to recuperate, thing is you can't do it for the long term you should have a projected date on when you plan on not doing anymore then you can plan accordingly.

It helps if you can make your own schedule, I currently do it. I work two days 9a to 7p, two days noon to 9 and two days noon to 5. What has been beneficial to me is sometimes going to the gym when I wake up versus when I get off of work.
