Dennis Rodman had on court "inhibitions" He would give Karl Malone trouble on the court. So your argument with that doesn't hold up. first of all prime kg and rasheed were not checking anyone 23 feet away from the rim...let alone someone almost taller than them with guard skills
them nikkas werent even checking dirk in his prime and he was an actual power forward.

KG is the reason modern defenses finally started to catch up to offenses post 2005. Minny had him guarding everyone. He's pretty much the prototypical "big" you want defending KD in any PnR scenario.
