Orlando Puerto Ricans have a huge evangelical set...might not be the majority but they're active in politics and vote in every single election, it's like a commandment for them.
This is also why I side eye Dems yelling to make PR a state because it will be +2 Dem Senate seats. Islanders are culturally conservative for the most part (keep in mind this is the birthplace of perreo and reggaeton- ain't that something) and evangelicals are deep down there as well.
Dems lost Miami in the last election. Spanish radio and WhatsApp chain messages destroyed them with a thousand cuts. Dems, led by their elite consultants, completely ignored the radio (who listens to radio right? um...old retired boomers with nothing else to do...and where are a lot of these kind of people that still listen to the radio...oh yeah)
Remember how Obama pioneered online campaigning and donations? How by the time he got elected it was an unstoppable machine? That's what happened with WhatsApp in the last election too. Carefully made memes and cherry picked articles along with the usual trolling and fake news got passed around family groups, which is how most of us keep in touch with fam and friends in the old country. They'd send some Biden is in a coma meme and everyone would laugh, someone in the group would fwd it to some other group...and there you have it. Really wasn't more sophisticated than that.
